I prefer to think of myself as work-in-progress.

I lost my wife to cancer (multiple Myeloma) in early 2005. I had been her primary caregiver. A former venture capitalist, I had given up my career to care for her and this was a life-changing experience for me. Truly, these were defining years in my life.

Since her passing, I have been on a journey of self-discovery; a journey that never ceases to amaze me.

Today, amongst other things, I work with cancer patients, teaching them meditation and doing hypnotherapy with them as they prepare for their treatment options.

I do a fair bit of writing and speaking on mind/body/spirit issues and am working on a book which deals with my journey from loss to living life again.

Soon after my wife's death, I began to support an orphanage for blind kids in Bangalore, India (www.rakum.org).  Did you realize that there are 20 million blind kids in India? I hadn't…..

I recently released a chant CD called “The Magic of Gayatri” (www.magicofgayatri.com). It is a musical and descriptive journey with one of the oldest prayers known to humanity, the Gayatri mantra.  This rendition is unique inasmuch as it invokes the Divine Feminine.  It is a great tool for relieving stress and achieving peace-of-mind.

I have been using this CD with cancer patients, who have listened to it during surgery under anesthesia - with wonderful and unexpected results, in terms of their post-op recovery and rehab periods. It is amazing how the Divine works!

I am deeply interested in alternative healing modalities and continue to take an active interest in the technology world, even as I pursue my spiritual path.
